Easter Fun!

As can be expected, our Easter holiday was absolutely wonderful! It was complete with egg dying, multiple egg hunts, and terrific food and family. The boys loved all of the festivities, and it was so enjoyable to watch them participate in everything.

During the egg dying, Thomas was given one egg. He was completely content with that one egg. Eventually, we gave him another egg and as per Thomas’ usual demeanor, he smashed his two eggs together—cracking them both! During the egg hunt, he would find one egg, open it, eat all of the candy, and then he would look for the next egg. Luckily, he only found three eggs!

Kevin was so excited and enthusiastic about everything. He is at such a fun age for all of this stuff. We spent a lot of time explaining to him what the purpose and meaning of Easter was. He is now convinced that God is a super hero, and now, during his prayers, he always makes sure to add in: “God, please make me a super hero too.” It’s wonderful that he is curious about the subject and so willing to accept the things that are hard to grasp.

Kevin, of course, did just great at the egg dying and hunting. He was able to find most of the eggs, even the ones that the Easter Bunny hid really well! He also would help his brothers find their baskets. It is so great how well he has taken to the big brother role!

And Lucas received some new boots and a new Mickey Mouse hat. He LOVES them. He made sure to strip down to just his diaper, his boots, and his hat. He strutted his stuff all around the house. Lucas enjoyed the egg dying and hunting. On Easter morning, as soon as he found his Easter basket with Woody (from Toy Story) inside, his interest in finding more eggs completely diminished. He is so content with one thing that he really likes—what a great trait! He is just so simple to please and so polite. He always says “Thank You” and is so appreciative for anything that anyone does for him! He truly is the definition of a sweetheart!
