Cats, Horses, and Bunnies

Despite the fact that Paul and I are not considered much of “animal” people, we sure have had our fill this week!

We welcomed the newest temporary addition to the Krupp family this week. His name is Disco, and yes, he is a cat! He is Jessica’s cat that we are taking care of for a couple of months. Disco has adjusted to the move quite well—even though he does hide from the boys as much as he can. However, he also will let them pet him and mess with him for a little while. The boys, even Lucas, just adore him. They are always looking for him, trying to play with him, chase him, feed him, and love him. Disco hasn’t even so much swatted at them, so needless to say, he is a marvelous cat! Lucas likes him so much that he says it is HIS cat, not Jessica’s. Thomas calls him “baby,” and Kevin just marvels at him. They are enjoying him so much that I think we are going to have to get a cat of our own as soon as we return him!

On Monday, I met Cortney and Kenzie at the wonderful Triple B Ranch to let the kids run free and pet the horses. Thomas, Kenzie, and Kevin loved the horses. They all would pet them and talk to them. Hopefully this summer, they will even ride them! Lucas, on the other hand, loved them, but got nowhere near close enough to touch them. He hung back and gawked at them, but as soon as I would encourage him to pet them, he would take about 5 steps backward!

Another exciting event this week was that we went to see the Easter Bunny. We actually managed to get a picture with the bunny, despite the fact that Lucas was very scared of the big, white bunny. Thomas actually wouldn’t sit alone with the bunny either, so as you will see below, Brittani and I both got to be in the picture!
