Seriously, where does the time go?

So with October starting tomorrow, the Krupp family looks forward to a full and busy month! Of course all of our months are busy, but this one in particular is set to include lots of events and fun! With only three games left, Kevin’s soccer season is quickly coming to an end. He has done very well this year – he’s even scored two goals and learned a lot of the fundamentals of the sport. Of course he still enters la-la land frequently when playing, but I’m guessing that along with his chatty nature, focus is never going to be his strong point!

Today we received some exciting news for Lucas. Lucas had another session with Gateway Elementary’s early education specialists for his speech. They did a thorough evaluation today and determined that he will qualify for their speech therapy program. The program is free of charge, and he will attend Monday – Thursday for 3 hours each day. We are really excited about him receiving the extra attention and anticipate it to be a great thing for him!

This month also includes numerous birthdays and birthday parties! Kevin’s best friend Sam is having his party in which Kevin gets to go with Sam and his family to a CC hockey game! Kevin is ecstatic! We also have Elaina’s first birthday this month! She is having a Halloween birthday party in which the kids get to dress up in costumes! Along with those two, we will celebrate birthdays for Jordane, Andre, Jami, Cortney, and Aaron! Since I do such a sporadic job of updating this blog, I am going to go ahead and wish all of the October babies Happy Birthday right now!

Let’s see….of course October has Halloween! My kids keep changing their minds as to what they are going to be, but I think Thomas has decided that he will either be an army man or a Detroit Lions football player, Lucas has decided to be either a vampire or a zombie, and Kevin is pretty set on being a werewolf!

Perhaps the most exciting thing that we will do this month is take our family vacation to San Diego! We finally got our entire trip details finalized. We fly out on Tuesday, October 18 and return on Sunday, October 23. During the trip, we will be experiencing the San Diego Zoo, the Safari Park, Sea World, and we will also be spending a day at the beach! I couldn’t be more excited to be doing this – I can hardly wait to see the boys’ reactions to all of it. It will be their first time to see the ocean, and it will be the first time that the twins are aware that they are flying in an airplane (they have been on one when they were 15 months). They absolutely love the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, so I can only imagine what they are going to think of the San Diego one! I am sure that I will have tons of pictures to share from that!

Here are pictures from Kevin’s 6th birthday! Everything was great. Thank you so much to all who were able to attend and to everyone for all of the fabulous gifts. Thank you all so much for always supporting my children and my family. My kids have no idea how much they are loved, and it truly is amazing to know that we have so many great people in our lives. We are so blessed to have each and every one of you!

Happy Almost Birthday Kevin!

Kevin’s birthday is fast approaching—it is incredible that he is about to be 6 years old! It’s surreal; I have a 6 year old already! He’s doing well with school and is beyond excited about his birthday and birthday party.

So, Happy Upcoming Birthday to my wonderful boy, Kevin. Mom & Dad love you so much and are so proud of the big boy that you have become. You are a joy to be around and having you in our lives is the most amazing blessing! We look forward to another fantastic year of watching you grow!

Lucas and Thomas are doing very well also. I took them to an early childhood screening test that Gateway Elementary was offering last week. They did excellent. Besides being perfect little angels and complying with every test, the results of each test was great. Thomas excelled at all of his tests (other than communication but that was due more to shyness than ability). Lucas did great across the board—they even reassured us that his speech was nothing to be concerned by. They said that he has excellent grammar & sentence structure, his difficulty is just with pronunciation, which is common and should get better the more he practices!

A couple of weeks ago, one of my most favorite people in the world came for a visit. Jessica Friesma (Mallik) was in town and brought her son, William, over to meet myself and my kiddos. Suzi Thompson came too. We had a wonderful visit…lots of catching up and discussion about the joys of motherhood. William was a delight to meet and oh, so cute!

This weekend, Grandma Traci and I took the boys to the “Cruise Above the Clouds Car Show” that Woodland Park hosts each year. The boys LOVED it. They were fascinated with the cars. They also got free air-brushed tattoos that made their day all the more amazing!

Here are some pictures of William Friesma and the car show:

There was a guy nice enough to let the kids in his race car (and he gave them autographed pictures!) - so here's racer Kevin!

Thomas was so excited...he looked so tiny in the race car!

The boys thought this was pretty funny! They had Tigger's tail sticking out of the trunk of the car so that it looked like he had been shut in there!
